Our vision for the future
The Lilley and Stone site has massive potential. There is much needed green space, beautiful buildings and potentially excellent sports facilities. We want to hear from you, particularly if you are one of the beneficiaries of the charity or work with young people in a sports/cultural capacity in our town. Please email your ideas to us using the contact page.
Here are some links to organisations which inspire us with a vision of what the Lilley and Stone site could become for the town of Newark:
Both Benslow Trust and Compton Verney are well known cultural venues. They bring in much revenue and improve the lives of their local communities. We need this sort of cultural resource in Newark to make it a destination of choice in the East Midlands. New houses have brought many people to the town; these people and their children need something to do.
Newark has art and cultural treasures currently locked away in storage. The Lilley and Stone buildings could provide gallery and exhibition space, a concert hall and workshop areas similar to those at the Benslow Trust or at Compton Verney.

Parkland and recreational green space is vital for the mental and physical health of a community.

We all have the right to accessible green space within easy reach of our homes.

Parks and trees improve the value of properties near to them.
